Were LBM on here cos they were used in a baked bean (or possibly soup) commercial?

Ladysmith Black Mambazo did a song for some rugby world cup thing once, this is surely not it with a title like that but maybe the follow-up?

This is quite a curious compilation.

I saw Mr Oizo DJ at Canvas this weekend!

A+ = 16 year old rapper, Beethoven sample. And all time legendary lyric:

Me and my team bubble like Alka Seltzer tablets

Justin was some Scottish popstar.
He sung with Michael Jackson at his 'legendary' Glasgow Green gig, donchaknow?

i proudly played my iranian picks for victory to geeta and she said "The VOCODER is a STEP TOO FAR"!!!???

Which is the worst

[identity profile] jauntyalan.livejournal.com 2006-05-08 01:25 pm (UTC)(link)
first time i've had a definitive answer (that i can recall)

[identity profile] braisedbywolves.livejournal.com 2006-05-08 01:34 pm (UTC)(link)
This is actually actually the least ticks ever (=6) though I'm willing to believe I could possibly double it if I'd heard more than half of the tracks. Still, worst NOW so far.

It's not great, is it? Considering the large amount of top Balearic Bosh around at the time the picks for this Now are indeed curious.

what is this craven "i did not know it so i did not tick it" rule?

[identity profile] friedslice.livejournal.com 2006-05-08 01:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Not much ticky over here either. I think this is the first time I've ticked a NONE OF 'EM option.

[identity profile] nicolars.livejournal.com 2006-05-08 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh definitely. I think I only ticked four. I would have voted for Dusty if not for my rule about not voting for reissues.

THEY ARE THE SAME

Oizo = head and shoulders above everything else here. A startling amount of the best dance music of the last three years is totally indebted to that track. As Vahid pointed out elsewhere it is impossible to listen to Smagghe's Fabric mix without imagining the little yellow chap bashing his head along to all the fvck-off big buzzy noises.

[identity profile] carsmilesteve.livejournal.com 2006-05-08 01:43 pm (UTC)(link)
all this oizo love is totally due to last night's "top 50 one hit* wonders", although it is good. not as good as terrorvision though.

*FSVO one hit

i'm surprised by how poorly time has treated poptimists love for fat boy's Praise You, which was ENORM at the time (and i still think is the best thing here)

Everyone who has not voted for Mr.Oizo is WRONG.

Everyone who has chosen it as best song is RIGHT.

In a deeply contradictory and subjective world, it is good to encounter some solid TRUTH.
