Oh oh oh now I have remembered what started this whole meme originally i.e.
"Isn't it ironic that 'Perfect Day' got to #1, god I wonder how many of the idiots who bought it knew that it is really ABOUT DRUGS."
(PD being a good example of a song that is actually quite lovely and mysterious if not about drugs and is hugely trite if it is.)
