Time for a post about Hue and Cry (look away young people)
I have only just 'got' the "strike" "metaphor" running through "Labour of Love", wow that's awful, I bet they thought it was pretty subversive getting a song about STRIKING into the pop charts, those crazy socialists.
Also this man sings like a limp raw fish.
(Actually I secretly like it a bit. Never did a song need an extended 12" less tho.)
Share your Hue and Cry memories.

uh-oh, what am I saying etc.
I was thinking of checking the verses for more clever metaphorism but he gabbles them all too much. I can still make out the bit where he goes "your PSEUDO-SATISFACTION baby!" and sounds very pleased with himself.
Scritti Politti, there but for the grace of God go you.

it was only the PSEUDO-SATISFACTION BABY bit mentioned above that set me off, i have been know in the past to confuse this (due to title alone, although the slapbass may have an effect) with LESSONS in love by c0cking level 42
