from "anything" onwards yr argt is quasi-sound (ie there's nothing wrong makin music based on a defn, but you can't assume this alone will ensure it is POP)

but i think the REAL ACTUAL problem word here = PURE!!

I think I will agree to both of those - I don't think pop is necessarily good! I haven't decided whether it is an ethos of listening or of making music though.

yes, tho i agree pop is not a sound, but the idea of an ethos and staying pure to it is VERY indie.

actually i've decided (and this comes out of nowhere) that what i want to discuss is the language is food metaphor
