It's that time of year again...

It appears that moderately successful boyband BLUE have been selected for the UK's 2011 Eurovision entry! Their 'self-penned' song is called "I Can". Guest rapper Mr O. Bama not as yet confirmed.

Duncan looks very different there, doesn't he?

I think it may well manage to be sort of mid-table but this would desperately disappoint the bit of me that wants us to get NIL POINTS. If it is actually good tho then that will be excellent.

I was listening to Patience the other day and considering how VERY IMMENSE it is still.

If they get Richard X to do one of his more skeletal productions with a dignified manballad-y thing then there could be something really very special. By which I mean 'a bit like the Richard X rerub of Patience.'

Last year the Netherlands put forward a GREBT number so I'm not surprised snoozefest for them this year.

I have no idea, what Blue, in 2011, will do. If Duncan stays in character as Him from Legally Blonde I would like that a great deal.

Would be better if it were JLS - they can backflip. I'd worry if any Blue-er were to attempt it, they've been in bed drinking Tennants spesh for years surely (sorry Duncan).

(Having now listened to the Dutch one I have decided I like it! It sounds like it could soundtrack a slow motion elite gymnastic tumbling pass mixed in with Emily's job at the Pizza Shack, which is relevant to my interests now. Hurrah for the Netherlands. It will get nowhere).
