- XFM have posted a photo gallery to bid farewell to the Astoria.

i will only tolerate it if they build a huge stalin-era style statue of the dog nipper listening to his master's gramophone on top of the building

Sounds like they are just bigging up a sponsorship along the lines of Carling/O2 Academy

I guess this means HMV are doing well enough that they're not going to call in the administrators any time soon then?

ha, i can't believe they even botherd to put The Garage on that list, i mean surely it no longer counts as a venue?

I take it that it's still as shut as a very shut thing, then?
