Slave to the rhythm of the corporate prison!

Bwahahahaha the new Grace Jones single is rofl-tastic:

More sample lyrics:
- "My blood flows mechanical - satanical!"
- "I deal in the market, every man, woman and child is a target!"
- "I'll make you scrounge in my executive lounge!"

LOLZ. What is with all these aging divas deciding to make their comebacks in 2008? The year of the grandmother, indeed. Mariah, Janet, Madge, Donna Summer, Cyndi Lauper, Grace Jones...is there anyone else?

This song is petrifying for the first two minutes, then it turns into a lost track from Massive Attack's Mezzanine sessions. This is not entirely bad, I liked Mezzanine, and Grace Jones tends to get away with a whole lot of shit that no one else would (the k-punk lyrics!), but it sounds less modern than the stuff she did in her actual heyday! (Not to mention that awesome DJ Hell remix of 'I've Seen That Face Before' from a few years back.) So - something missing but would tick.

also more lyrics about "I will eat your face" needed, less of the corporate machine blah blah blah.

This totally straddles the hilarious/awesome boundary. Far too reminiscent of her glory years, but frankly they were pretty damn good, so I can't blame her for trying. I think I sort of like it, but then, I would.
