Waiting around for an alBUM like you

I am in my yearly "jesus i'd better catch up on some albums then" conscience fit. It is like the fable of the grasshopper and the ant, the ant works hard listening to albums all year and has a proper year end list that they've thought about and all, whereas the poptimist grasshopper swans about listening to McFly and has no resources when winter comes in.

But now grasshoppers have the interweb so in yr face ant.

I have albums by Enrique, Infernal, Radiohead, Siobhan Donaghy, Field, Fall Out Boy, Roisin Murphy and Studio to listen to. I NEED MOAR. What albums have you heard so far this year that you would urge me to listen to?

(I know I talked to some of you about this yesterday.)

siltbreeze did stop for a while when their deal w/ Matador went a pear-shaped - tom lax is STILL selling off 'warehouse finds' of Trapdoor Fucking Exit on E Bay - but they're back back back

man I love that last Shadow Ring alb - so creepy and worn-down - i wish more of their stuff was available on CD

think you wld def. dig that C.C.C.C. box, Julio - No Fun, Giffoni's label, has probably been THE boutique noise imprint of choice this year - Hospital, Dominic (Prurient) Fernow's label, has also issued some choice sick shit, and Hanson/American Tapes have been reliably gnarly as per - there's a brutal Wolf Eyes/John Wiese team-up disc on Hanson that always hits the spot round these parts

MORE NOIZE ON POPTIMISM!
