X Factor? Anyone?

 Hey gang,

Just wondering if any of you are obsessing over this year's X-Factor?

If so:

Who'd you want to win?
What do you think of the decisions so far?
Do you think the idea of combining failed solo singers into a group was a stroke of genius?

Answers, opinions, more please!

I.am.really.bored.of.revising.

I haven't been watching it but yesterday I allowed myself a quick run through on Youtube (annoyingly they've been taken down now but the official site has a Video Page (http://www.xfactor.tv/videos/), I can't access it from work though).

Anyway, Same Difference are clearly awesome! Rhydian will do for the mums as a comedy opera chap, Futureproof have clearly been hit with the ugly stick, the Ratpack boy (Andy?) can fvck off, Beverley has a VERY good pair of lungs on her, the girl group are lacking oomph (could be good once their voices mature, they are VERY young), the rest made NO impact on me.

Standard seems v low this year even by X-Factor standards. The Happy Incest Twins are brilliant though, so I hope they win.

And Charlie Brooker's description of Rhydian in the Guardian this weekend was hilariously spot-on.

Um...I actually think 2 of Futureproof are very handsome indeed, and a third wouldn't get kicked out of bed.

Anyway, I agree that standards are very low this year. Getting Leona on the first may have ensured massive sales of her single, but it also highlighted that she's in a completely different league to anyone in this year's final 12.

I agree that the overall standard this year is appalling, but then it has been pretty much forever on The X Factor, with only a handful of people (Maria, Leona) being anything above average.

Same Difference, however, are amazing and must win. Especially because I want to see Louis cry when they do.

I love Same Difference extremely!
