M.I.A's profile across the pond continues to grow. After adding more dates to her US tour due to exceptionally high demand, I noticed that 'Boyz' was used in Monday night's episode of 'Heroes' (Series 2, Episode 5).

Did anyone else buy tickets for her show at the Coronet in Elephant & Castle on 20th December? I may well have some spares if any poptimists are keen to come along, although it seems like tickets are still available, which I find quite bizarre. I'd have expected it to sell out super-quickly.

I was very excited to hear 'Boyz' in Heroes, especially since I'm fairly certain the first time I heard it was at Poptimism. :D

Yeah, she's getting a big following here, and the coolest thing is that her audience is really, really diverse. I saw her last week (at the first of two sold-out, high capacity shows in NYC), and the audience was insanely enthusiastic, and about as varied as you could want, though I guess there weren't that many people over 30.

Are you sure you're not talking about the episode that was on BBC2 last night? I'm talking about the most recent one shown in the States, this past Monday (Series 2, episode 5). It's impossible that you can have seen that episode and not noticed the M.I.A - there's a whole scene of a character (Monica) skipping along to it.

No, I am in the US! But I was in and out of the room while the show was on, I must have missed that part with Monica.
