I only would like to know if you are serious in your evaluate of lyrics Australia from band Manic Street Preachers.

I would like to tell you that this song is definitelly about the drugs and I thing that you have never taste the drugs, that is why you can not to understand what Manics said in their text.
What do you thing mean first two parts of the song?

I have got a abstinency.
I will take a drug.
I will fly on the wave.
Do you understand?

Some drugs like extasy, kokain implicate a lot of energy and men want to run or do something until totaly exhaustion. (Wave come now)

OK. I am from Czech Republic and my English is not precious, but I can understand this simply lyric in the song Australia from Manics.

I was most bothered by Radiohead at #3. At least the Streets (#30) managed to stay a few places ahead of hot and exciting star Paul Weller, and only two places behind Oasis. What a useful list.
