Simon is such a crank!

Though when I bought my iPod in March I thought and hoped I would use it all the time, used it for a few weeks and have been back to the discman ever since, it's just such a fucking fiddly thing, never had the patience to program playlists. I keep meaning to download the volume booster hack, that would make me go back to it.

Have you ever encountered the concept of "ear broccoli" (I think that's another Matt P coining)? That's what sprang to mind when I read that stuff about "gorging at a banquet" - another "music = like food, so apply the following restrictions" bad analogy.
