It's Love!

How you'd come to my house
And watch me feed the hog
And sit around with goo-goo eyes
And pat your possum dog

Tennessee Ernie Ford and Ella Mae Morse - "Hog-Tied Over You": a touching tale of hillbilly romance. May contain stereotypes.

On the Western theme, The Grid - "Texas Cowboys" presents a more genteel variation on "Cotton Eye Joe". I need a single edit really, but still a rousing bit of mid-90s dance.

And finally we have Vanity Fare - "Hitchin' A Ride", himbo bubblegum 70s pop about hitch-hiking, full of confident goodness - you can almost smell the choreography. This is my favourite thing I've uploaded today so if you get just one song, etc.

Tomorrow on Poptimists: NOW II.

Ta for the Vanity Fare song - lovely (see? I told you you were good at these)

And, indirectly, thanks for the tip off about the Super Hits of the 70s - Have A Nice Day series. (there's 25 volumes! good heavens!)

re GridXor, would 'Swamp Thing' still 'pack' floors eleven years on?
