I disagree... I think the video for the Schla La Las '1-2-3-4' (released this week), kicks Fergie's behind. It's got Lego breakdancing on a tube platform!!

You know, The Dutchess spawned two solid hits while struggling to go gold. I have no info on why it's struggling, though here's a wild guess: black people aren't buying her (surprisingly weak sales for Nelly Furtado, as well; took a long time to go platinum, for an album with the number three single of the year). "Glamorous" isn't tearing up the charts yet as a single; if it does catch, though, it could get her across to the r&b audience.

Wait, I misread the chart, and The Dutchess did go platinum, but it still took a good long time (as opposed to Ciara's quick run to platinum; I think the Ciara album is better, but actually I prefer the Fergie singles, and if I'd been a consumer who hadn't heard the albs and was buying on the basis of singles I'd have gone for Fergie).
