The History Of Pop Part 59 aka Only turning into tigers when we gotta fight back

Now 59 - later 2004 - the Golden Age continues, or....? JoJo, Three Of A Kind, V, Khia, Eric Prydz - we may well not see their like again. On paper this looks set to have a clear winner - but who knows the secret paths down which anygoodatall science will lead us?

Now 58 ended in a DRAW! - and no, no untickings were involved. "Hey Ya" and "Some Girls" fight it out down at the bottom of this poll. Kelis was one vote behind, and Girls Aloud one vote behind that. Very close.

it's really fantastic.

one of my happiest Club FT memories = Tim F playing 'Whateve You Want' at Chapel Bar.

it's like 'Crazy In Love' as performed by a human being - brassy and cute and with amazing horn rounds and this perfectly judged flirty/sassy vocal - the ascending melody on the bridge is the best thing evah. "I can feel the groove when you're holding me, like to let you think you're controlling me - but you know that ain't the deal, when I want I take the wheel". It encapsulates amazing summer parties for me, it is even better than I remember!
