Today I Intend To

...get home, turn on Slsk and spend a couple of solid hours 'amusing myself' with it.

What should I look out for? Also please point me to anything else online I might like. Particularly interested in:

- corny 70s and turn-of-the-80s pop
- 90s Eurodance
- remixes by young people of young people
- current pop gems, particularly from abroad.
- RECOMMEND! Come on Poptimists, what have you been listening to lately? (You could even treat it as - gasp! - a MEME!)

In return I will upload some really good tunes tomorrow.

ALSO ATTN [livejournal.com profile] katstevens: I don't have an email for you and I need to email about Poptimism!

I am enjoying the Jacques Lu Cont "Perversion" mix of Goldfrapp's "Twist". I dunno how old this is. S'good tho. Big bass.

Also: you could do worse than get some tracks off the latest Princess Superstar album which is called "My Machine" and has lots of good stuff on it. It is also AN MENTAL concept album so prob best to pick and choose.

This Paris Hilton song (or what was labelled as P-Hilton song on Limewire): http://s48.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0LSH1OBPRC0W41UCC47BKCPOY9

Also, look out Lodger by one D. Bowie which I was enjoying muchly before it got nicked.

i judge that...

I'm too young to properly like DB. But you are probably correct, sir. It reminds me of Talking Heads, but, like, even better.

Well, some of the songs remind me of TH.

whenever people talk about the paris hilton song, i never know whether they're referring to 'screwed' by paris hilton or 'paris hilton' by mu. both are great.

three things i am feeling recently which i have not mentioned much:

tomas andersson - washing up (tiga rmx)
white rose movement - love is a number (black strobe rmx) (you have to endure rub indie vox for the first minute or so but then it turns into mental bangingness)
mia - bucky done gun (dj marlboro rmx)

The FTB FNP Edit of "You can do it" by Ice Cube featuring Mack 10 and Ms. Toi. It's on The Very Best of Now Dance, and it basically muscles along for 30 seconds before realising what it really wants to be is happy hardcore.
