ENGLAND DEFY GERMAN PRESSURE

Germany 0 England 1 (Half-Time)

England lead by a goal to nil at half time in their Pop World Cup clash with Germany. The raw England side coped admirably with a lot of early pressure, but seemed pinned back in their own half by the highly experienced German midfield. When their chance to break came, though, the young England forwards snapped at it and with their manager urging them on from the touchline they were able to wrongfoot the creaking German back four and score. Though the goal came slightly against the run of play the team will still be full of confidence as they head to the dressing room, and the Germans will have to hope that their superstar line-up can find more energy after the break.

In other PWC-related news, Serbian Euro-meltdown continues.

And there will be souvenir PWC CDs available for a lucky few* at the pop quiz tonight. We'll be handing them out as prizes and I'll get some more done. It's a pretty good compilation - well done all managers!

*(I ran out of blank discs so there's only 20 or so going.)

I would DRLY love to hear both the No Name song and the 'Serbian' entry so I can judge for myself!

Seconded. In fact, why not let [livejournal.com profile] poptimists decide who reps for S&M?

maybe some variety of protracted inter-factional conflict would persuade them to just get along? either way, the loser is music, when all you can score is not even 1

My entire life, I'd have said that Victoria is remote (being a Norf Londoner and all), but seeing as I'm planning to walk there from work tonight, I can hardly complain! And I finally get to meet another of the LJBB housemates in the flesh!
