Eurovision voting tomorrow!

I don't know if you folks are Eurovision fans, but I heard one of the contenders for the British entry on Radio 2 this morning (Daz Sampson, his name was) and it made me laugh so much that the girl next to me got up and found another seat.

He is of course DJ DAZ aka the creator of "The Woah Song" and also the rapper on Bus Stop's definitive version of "Kung Fu Fighting".

I would assume that everyone in this community likes Eurovision. But I don't know for sure.

Thinking of my school days and trying to write this song
Classroom schemes and dreams
Man they couldn't save me
Cos my days were numbered when I signed down on Avy
Teenage kicks running out what could we do
I still show respect to my boys who made it through
And getting told off Mr T how my life would be
Then giving him a signal
So everyone could see

SIGNED DOWN ON AVY?????

Are City Chix (ugh) trying to be a more coy and fluffy tATu? Note the v. similar title to tATu's last hit. The lyrics are kind of ambiguous too.

I haven't watched "A Song For Europe" (as I will always call it) since probably the year of the New Seekers! But I will certainly be watching and voting in Eurovision proper.

Correction

My mistake, it's Daz's backing singers that have the tATu vote sewn up.

I too was reminded of Eurovision, hearing this on the radio in a cafe today - "Making Your Mind Up" by Bucks Fizz....

City Chix are stars of top Glasgow based soap, River City and I have saw one of them! In a club, looking bored and haughty.
