Back For Rub

Crikey readers WITHOUT CLICKING can you guess which member of Take That is NOT reforming for the reunion tour.

Who should they get in to perform his BITS?

And oh why not....

Obvious comment to say ALL THOSE SONGS ARE GOOD (except 1million love songs = Barlow fodder). Come on, vote for EVERYTHING CHANGES! And everything! etc etc. MARK 4EVS.

Given my recent (ish) POP CONVERSION (ish) I was really expecting to like some of the songs when I watched that docu the other day. But I still thought they were dreadful :( I only like girlbands = I am the POP LESBIAN!

aye, 1 million lurve songs is great! top elton-aping. it is the better ballad than back for good which is overrated boy band ho hum.

Pray is good too. and Only takes a Minute. And...hang on etc..

[identity profile] alexmacpherson.livejournal.com 2005-11-25 01:03 pm (UTC)(link)
back for good is the rockist choice.

that doesn't mean a million love songs is any good, mind.

i liked east 17 better because they were realer. 'deep' was my first ever cd single!

[identity profile] steviespitfire.livejournal.com 2005-11-25 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
rougher you mean. i like my boy bands sanitised it seems. or will this lead me to...one true voice! oh no!

[identity profile] steviespitfire.livejournal.com 2005-11-25 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
why i oughta....

[identity profile] atommickbrane.livejournal.com 2005-11-25 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)

YOU WESTLIFE FAN

(yes, i mean rougher. i would have said 'bit of rough' or similar but i don't think i've ever fancied boy band members. apart from half of mcfly. and half of v.)

[identity profile] steviespitfire.livejournal.com 2005-11-25 01:11 pm (UTC)(link)
mcflay are the antithesis of rough.

matt from busted was a bit rough, yum i mean ugh.

[identity profile] steviespitfire.livejournal.com 2005-11-25 01:12 pm (UTC)(link)
the wonky chorus vocals annoy me tho, tom! that first "whatever" is all over the scale.

[identity profile] alexmacpherson.livejournal.com 2005-11-25 01:12 pm (UTC)(link)
i was meaning to mock my own pre-teenage rockism!

'great britpop record' is a phrase which makes absolutely not one iota of sense to these ears.

[identity profile] alexmacpherson.livejournal.com 2005-11-25 01:15 pm (UTC)(link)
oddly when it came to spice girls vs all saints, the 'realer' ones weren't the rougher ones.

i was buying the now albums in 95! i endured so much crap on them, there was always one great cassette and one RUB one.

BFG = best pop ballad between Careless Whispers and Leave Right Now. I've mentioned before being struck on my holiday in Jamaica at hearing I believe five different reggae versions of it.

[identity profile] plumsbitch.livejournal.com 2005-11-25 01:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I also require an 'ALL THOSE SONGS ARE GOOD except 1 million love songs' tickybox.

It Only Takes A Minute might just edge it for that fantastic opening synth line.

But also, WHERE are Could It Be Magic/Relight My Fire? pfft.

Anyone ever see them live? Was dragged* by a friend to see them at Earl's Court=REVELATION. Best thing EVAH.

*this was about 1994. Me=enormo music snob in the worst student/muso way possible.

if we bring in leave right now, it just trounces all comers, really!
