because I spent most of the evening surrounded by about a million intoxicated Germans watching Mike Oldfield, of all people. Almost as embarrassing as, say, Nazareth or something. Later on I discovered that Modern Talking were elsewhere and wandered over there (and that was equally surreal, albeit more poptimistic).
