Yet Another Year In Pop: 22

Dizzee holds off the BEPs for another week; some random bosh from Agnes sneaks in behind them at 3 whilst an ancient Veronicas song finally charts in the UK.

[Poll #1409112]

Final reminder to get your nominations in for the best song of 2000 (please nominate there and not on this post, otherwise I might miss it) - you've got until 8pm BST tonight but I'll post up a list of the noms so far at some point this afternoon.

No it was a little kid who did 'Superstar' in the semi-finals, which was a RUBBISH and totally arbitrary choice and consequently got her voted out. Her version of 'No One' is 'a bit of a tearjerker' tho.

Ayyyy so it was still that fucking appalling programme then.

Seeing adults making little kids cry on national TV for public entertainment is really disturbing.

This = trufax. Also it's hard to imagine a slimier panel than Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden.

I KNOW! Literally any of the contestants, even the actually retarded ones, could turn to Morgan and Holden and demand precisely what credentials they have to be sitting there smugly judging people. And Cowell is EVEN MORE INTOLERABLE. Ughhh everything about that programme pisses me off, esp the fact that apparently lots of people watch and care about it. Well done, public, you are making S Cowell a little bit richer, I hope you're happy with yourselves.

Isn't that Veronicas song like a year old now?

More like a year and a half, but it decided to travel seas and see worlds before making its way to Britain.
